INGREDIENTS:

The Nougat Layer is:

  • Almond flour 1 1/2 cups
  • Three tablespoons smooth peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • Organic guarana powder 1/3 tsp
  • A pinch of salt

The Caramel Layer:

  • 12 medjool dates, pitted
  • Peanut Butter, 1/3 cup

The Topping:

    • Dark chocolate chips melted 1 cup.

INSTRUCTIONS:

    1. Combine the ingredients in a large mixing bowl to make the nougat layer.
    2. Line a baking dish square with parchment paper. Pour a uniform layer of the nougat mix into the bottom dish. Set it in the fridge to set.
    3. In a food processor, combine the ingredients for the layer of caramel.
    4. Remove the baking dish from the fridge and spread the caramel mixture over the nougat.
    5. Sprinkle the roasted nuts on top and gently press them into the caramel.
    6. Spread the dark chocolate evenly over the peanut layer with a spatula.
    7. The bars will firm up if you place the dish in the fridge for 1 hour.
    8. Once the bars are firm, remove them from the fridge and cut them into desired shapes. Enjoy!
    9. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
